Hello. We hope this finds you all well. I hope this may reach people that do not know us very well so let me start with a brief history. My name is Andy Swineford. I became a Christian in high school and shortly thereafter became interested in foreign mission work. I am an FAA certified aircraft mechanic, commercial pilot, and flight instructor. I married Ruth in May 2009. Ruth Swineford, formerly McDaniels, became a Christian at five and has wanted to do mission work in a foreign country since high school. She is currently a registered nurse in Puyallup and has been a nurse for eleven years. In April 2011 we were blessed with our daughter Esther. Ruth is currently pregnant with our second child and due in November 2012.
I am writing today because Trinity Aviation Academy —which is a non-profit ministry with the goal of getting missionary pilots ready for the mission field, has asked me to work for them full-time. I am currently their only flight instructor and also assist with aircraft maintenance. After much prayer and waiting we believe that God has placed me in this position and it is the direction God has called us. Trinity Aviation Academy is a not-for-profit ministry and requires us to raise our own support. We therefore are seeking mission-minded partners to assist us with prayer and financial support. We know that right now is financially trying for many so anything you can give will be greatly appreciated. We also know how beneficial prayer is and covet your prayers. Our specific prayer requests include:
- That we can be lights for Christ wherever God puts us, here or abroad.
- Protection from enemy attacks as we do God’s will.
- Perseverance, peace, and relief for Ruthy dealing with a pregnancy related migraine.
- Strength and peace as I take on new responsibilities.
- Openness to God’s leading no matter which way he leads us.
- God’s perfect provision.
